I learn, you learn, she learns and so on. Verb conjugation refers to how a verb changes to show a different person, tense, number or mood. People often wonder why verb conjugation is often considered the hardest and important part of learning a language and it is because verbs provide the crucial function of linking concepts together in terms of relations or actions.
Spanish verbs have the following characteristics: tense (present, past and future); person and number (singular and plural) persons and number (I, you, he/she/it, we, you all, they); and mood (indicative, imperative and subjunctive). All in all, that creates many possible different endings and combinations.
The Lengalia Verb Conjugator allows you to practise the 108 most important regular and irregular verbs in all forms, modes and verbal tenses. Every conjugation comes with an audio clip so that you can listen to the pronunciation as well.
The Lengalia Verb Conjugator is based on the findings about the psychology of learning by Hermann Ebbinghaus. According to him you forget things that you have recently learned, but by repeating the learned skills you improve more and more and therefore you can remember vocabulary better by repeating it. At the beginning, you should revise little and often but after that you should take longer breaks and then repeat them on a regular basis. The words that you forget again soon have to be repeated very often, the ones you know are therefore rarely forgotten.
The conjugator consists of 5 different boxes with different capacities.
The conjugator works in the the following way: Once selected, at least one verb tense, these verbs (conjugations) are automatically loaded into box 1. By practicing with these verbs (conjugations), the verbs you know will go to the next box, while the verbs you don't know always go to box 1.
As soon as box 1 is empty, it will be filled automatically with new verbs. Each time when you wish to learn verbs (conjugations), the trainer will use verbs from box 1, unless another box is full, then the trainer will use that box. Once a verb has run through all the five boxes, it will be saved into the box „LEARNED”. They will be saved into your long-term-memory!
